The Commodity Codes Report provides a detailed overview of stock items based on their commodity codes, highlighting both arrivals and dispatches.

It allows finance, compliance, and logistics teams to:

  • Monitor the movement of stock items across branches.

  • Track the declared value of commodities for financial and tax purposes.

  • Ensure accurate VAT reporting and compliance with import/export regulations.

  • Identify trends in stock movements and commodity usage.

This report is essential for managing stock compliance, auditing, and reporting on international shipments.


How to Get There

To access the Commodity Codes Report in Service Geeni, follow these steps:

  • Open the Business Intelligence module.

  • Click on the Reports sub-module.

  • Navigate to the Finance category.

  • Select the Commodity Codes report.

  • Apply the required filters.

  • Click Apply to generate the report


Available Filters and Their Impact

Use the filters at the top of the report to refine which stock items and commodity movements are displayed:

  • Branch: Filters the report by the branch selected in the main Service Geeni interface.

Tip: Use this filter to focus on the stock movement of a single branch or compare multiple branches.

  • Commodity Movement Type: Filters the report by the type of commodity movement: Arrival, Dispatch, or All.

Tip: Use this filter to separately view stock received (arrival) versus stock issued or sold (dispatch).

  • Period: Filters the report by the date the stock item was received or issued.

Tip: Useful for tracking monthly, quarterly, or yearly stock movements.


Column Breakdown and Key Fields

Column Name

Description

Branch

Branch description of the stock item.

SKU

Stock keeping unit/stock item number.

Description

Stock item description.

Date

Date the stock item was received or issued.

Commodity Code

Commodity code assigned to the stock item.

Declaration Value

Total declared value of the stock item (cost price × quantity).

VAT%

VAT percentage applied to the stock item.

Country

Country name of the stock item.

VAT Reg. No.

VAT registration number linked to the stock item.

Commodity Movement Type

Type of commodity movement: Arrival or Dispatch.
