Updated this week

The Stock History report gives you a complete audit trail of all stock movements in Service Geeni. It includes both receipts into stock and issues out of stock across branches, engineers, product groups, and time periods.

Use this report to:

  • Review the full movement history of any stock item.

  • Track issuing activity to jobs, engineers, and locations.

  • Validate goods received from suppliers and GRNs.

  • Analyse stock usage trends over time.

  • Support audits and reconciliations by comparing quantities, prices, and user actions.

This is one of the most powerful tools in the Stock module for investigating discrepancies and maintaining accurate inventory control.

Getting There

When you need to run the Stock History report:

  • Open the Business Intelligence module.

  • Click Reports.

  • In the Reports window, open the Stock category.

  • Select Stock History.

  • Choose your filters, then click Apply to generate the report.

Available Filters and Their Impact

Use the filters at the top of the report to refine stock movement results. Each filter limits the data returned from the SQL procedure.

  • Branch: Defaults to the branch selected in the main Service Geeni interface.
Filters movements by depot or engineer linked to that branch.

  • SKU: Filters to one or more stock item numbers. Only movements relating to the selected SKUs appear.

  • Product Group: Filters results to stock items within selected product groups.
Use this to analyse trends for a category of items.

  • Period: Filters by movement date:

    • Issue Date for issued stock.

    • Received Date (GRN Date) for received stock.

If you do not select dates, Service Geeni defaults to the start of the current year through to today.

  • Engineer: Filters by the engineer responsible for the stock movement.
Includes both engineer vans and depot activity.
