Let's get started!

The Root Cause Analysis report gives you a clear visual breakdown of job incidents based on their underlying causes.

It helps you quickly spot why failures are happening, where they’re happening, and how often, so you can take action before issues repeat.

You can use this report to:

• Identify recurring faults across depots.

• Understand the most common causes of equipment issues.

• Support data-driven decisions for preventive maintenance.

• Reduce repeat failures and improve service performance.

The report is displayed as a bar chart, making it easy to compare incident frequency by depot and root cause.

Getting There

To access the Root Cause Analysis report in Service Geeni, follow these steps:

  • Go to the Business Intelligence menu.

  • Select the Reports sub-module.

  • In the Reports window, navigate to the Equipment category.

  • Click on the Root Cause Analysis module to open the report.

  • Add the desired filters (explained below), then click the Apply button to generate the report.

Available Filters and Their Impact

Use the filters at the top of the report to focus your analysis.

Period: Defines the date range for completed jobs included in the report. Only incidents from jobs completed within this period are counted. Use this to compare trends over time, such as month-to-month or quarterly performance.

Branch: Filters the report by depot or branch. This helps you review performance at a specific location or compare across regions.

If left blank, the report includes data from all depots.

Pre tip: Combine Period and Branch filters to analyse root causes within a specific timeframe and location — helping you target issues more precisely.
