Overview

The Jobs Summary dashboard provides a high-level overview of all jobs within the system, enabling users to monitor job volumes, track job statuses, and analyse work distribution across customers and job types. It is designed to give users a quick snapshot of operational performance and the current state of jobs logged within the selected period.


To access the report, navigate to Self Service from the navigation menu, open the All Standard Dashboards folder, locate Jobs Summary, and click Preview to open the dashboard. Users can apply the available filters, and all visualizations automatically refresh based on the selected criteria.

This report consists of one page:

Page 1 – Summary

This page provides an overall summary of jobs recorded within the selected period. It includes KPI charts and graphical visualizations that help users analyse job status, customer activity, and job type distribution.

Dashboard Filters

Call Date

Filters the report by the Call Date using a start and end date calendar picker. This allows users to analyse jobs that were logged within the selected date range.


KPI Charts – Summary

Cancelled

Displays the distinct count of jobs where the Job State is Cancelled.

Not Issued

Displays the distinct count of jobs where the Job State is Unissued, indicating jobs that have not yet been assigned to an engineer.

Issued

Displays the distinct count of jobs where the Job State is Issued, representing jobs that have been assigned and are currently in progress.

ALL Completed

Displays the distinct count of jobs where the Job State is Completed, Submitted, or Invoiced, providing the total number of jobs that have reached or progressed beyond completion.

Completed

Displays the distinct count of jobs where the Job State is Completed.

Submitted

Displays the distinct count of jobs where the Job State is Submitted, indicating completed jobs awaiting invoicing or further processing.

Invoiced

Displays the distinct count of jobs where the Job State is Invoiced, representing jobs that have been successfully invoiced.


Column Chart – Job Status

Displays the number of jobs for each customer, grouped by job status.

Values - Distinct Count of Jobs

Axis (Category) - Account Name

Legend (Series) - Job State

Description

This chart allows users to compare job volumes across customers while identifying the distribution of job statuses for each account.


Stacked Column Chart – Job Status by Customer

Displays the number of jobs over time, grouped by job status.

Values - Distinct Count of Jobs

Axis (Category) - Call Date (Year, Month)

Legend (Series) - Job State

Description

This chart provides a monthly trend of job activity, enabling users to monitor how job statuses change over time.


Pie Chart – Job Type

Displays the distribution of jobs by task type.

Values - Distinct Count of Jobs

Legend (Series) - Job Type (Task Type)

Description

This chart provides a breakdown of jobs by task type, allowing users to understand the proportion of different categories of work being undertaken.


Pie Chart – Job Status

Displays the distribution of jobs by their current workflow status.

Values - Distinct Count of Jobs

Description

This chart provides a visual summary of the proportion of jobs in each job state, making it easy to identify the overall workload distribution.


Pie Chart – Charge Code

Displays the distribution of jobs by job cost code.

This chart allows users to analyse how jobs are distributed across different charge codes, helping identify where work is being allocated.


Final Remarks

The Jobs Summary dashboard provides a concise overview of job activity across the organisation by combining key performance indicators with graphical summaries of job status, customer activity, task types, and charge codes. It enables users to quickly assess operational workload, monitor job progression, and identify trends without reviewing detailed job records.

By presenting high-level metrics and visual analytics in a single dashboard, users can efficiently monitor overall performance and make informed operational decisions. All visualizations automatically update based on the selected filter values, ensuring the information displayed is always relevant to the chosen reporting period.
