Purpose of the Report

The Engineer Summary - Jobs dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of engineer workloads, job allocation, servicing and repair activities, revenue generation, and engineer performance across different time periods. The dashboard enables managers and operational teams to monitor engineer productivity, review assigned and unassigned work, analyse profitability, and track jobs scheduled for today, this week, and this month.

By combining operational, financial, and scheduling information into a single dashboard, users can effectively manage engineer resources, improve job allocation, and monitor overall service performance.


How to Access the Dashboard

  1. From the main navigation menu, select the Self Service module.

  2. Open the All Standard Dashboards folder.

  3. Locate Engineer Summary - Jobs.

  4. Click Preview to open the dashboard.

  5. Apply any desired filters. The dashboard will automatically refresh based on the selected filter values.


Dashboard Overview

The dashboard consists of eight pages, each focusing on a different aspect of engineer performance and job management:

  5. Revenue / Profitability

  6. Jobs TODAY

  7. Jobs This Week

  8. Jobs This Month


Page 1 – Summary

The Summary page provides a high-level overview of engineer workloads and current job distribution.

Dashboard Filters & Descriptions

Completed Engineer

  • Type: Drop-down selector

  • Description: Filters the dashboard to display jobs completed by the selected engineer.

Issued Engineer

  • Type: Drop-down selector

  • Description: Displays jobs assigned to the selected engineer.

Completed Date

  • Type: Start and end date range calendar

  • Description: Filters results using the job completion date.

Equipment

  • Type: Drop-down selector

  • Description: Filters the dashboard by Equipment ID and equipment description.

Site

  • Type: Drop-down selector

  • Description: Filters results by site name and location.


KPI Charts – Engineer's Jobs

Unissued

Displays the distinct count of jobs currently in the Unissued state.

Issued

Displays the distinct count of jobs currently assigned to engineers.

Completed

Displays the distinct count of successfully completed jobs.


Column Chart – Job Status

Displays the number of jobs assigned to each engineer, grouped by job status.

Configuration

  • Values: Distinct Count of Job Number

  • Axis: Issued Engineer

  • Legend: Job State


Combined Chart – Job Type vs Status

Compares the number of jobs and job statuses for each issued engineer.

Configuration

  • Left Axis: Distinct Count of Job Number

  • Right Axis: Distinct Count of Job Status

  • Axis: Issued Engineer

  • Legend: Job State


Page 2 – All Jobs

Displays detailed information for all engineer-assigned and unassigned jobs.

Dashboard Filters & Descriptions

Period: Completed Date

  • Type: Date range selector

  • Description: Filters jobs using the completion date.

Period: Call Date

  • Type: Date range selector

  • Default Value: Previous Month

  • Description: Filters jobs based on when they were logged.

Customer / Site: Customer

  • Type: Drop-down selector

  • Description: Filters jobs by customer.

Asset: Equipment

  • Type: Drop-down selector

  • Description: Filters jobs by Equipment ID and description.


Pivot Table – Jobs by Engineer (Oldest First)

Displays all assigned jobs ordered by the oldest agreed visit date.

Unique job reference number.

Issued Engineers

Engineer assigned to the job.

Job Status

Current workflow status of the job.

Customer

Customer associated with the job.

Site

Site where the work will be carried out.

Equipment ID

Equipment assigned to the job.

Call Date

Date the job was logged.

Agreed Visit Date

Planned engineer visit date.

Completed Date

Date the work was completed.

Table Configuration

  • Issued Engineer is not NULL

  • Sorted by Agreed Visit Date (Ascending)

  • Current day's Agreed Visit Date is highlighted using a violet background with green text.


Pivot Table – Jobs not Assigned to Engineer

Displays jobs awaiting engineer allocation.

Unique job number.

Engineer

Assigned engineer (if available).

Job Status

Current job status.

Customer

Customer name.

Site

Site name.

Equipment ID

Equipment assigned to the job.

Call Date

Job creation date.

Agreed Visit Date

Planned visit date.

Table Configuration

  • Filtered to Job State = Unissued

  • Sorted by Agreed Visit Date (Ascending)

  • Today's dates are highlighted using conditional formatting.


Page 3 – Service

Displays engineer servicing workload and active service jobs.

Dashboard Filters

  • Completed Date

  • Call Date (Default: Previous Month)

  • Customer

  • Equipment


KPI Charts – Servicing Summary

Displays counts of Service Jobs by status:

  • Unissued

  • Issued

  • Scheduled

  • Completed

(All KPIs are filtered to Task Type = Service Job.)


Pivot Table – Service Jobs

Displays detailed service job information.

Planned service visit date.

Completed Date

Service completion date.

Job Number

Unique service job number.

Customer

Customer receiving the service.

Site

Service location.

Equipment ID

Equipment being serviced.

Current status of the service job.

Fixed Price

Fixed contract value for the service.

  • Task Type = Service Job

  • Displays only active equipment.


Pie Chart

Displays service jobs grouped by Job State.

  • Values: Distinct Count of Job Number

  • Legend: Job State


Stacked Column Chart

Displays service workload over time.

  • Values: Distinct Count of Job Number

  • Axis: Agreed Visit Date (Year → Month)

  • Legend: Job State


Page 4 – Repairs

Displays engineer repair activity and repair job assignments.

Dashboard Filters

  • Call Date

  • Agreed Date

  • Completed Date

  • Customer

  • Equipment

(All date filters default to the previous month.)


KPI Charts – Repair Summary

Displays repair jobs by status:

  • Unissued

  • Scheduled

  • Issued

  • Completed

(All KPIs are filtered to Task Type = Repair Job.


Pivot Table – Repairs Issued

Displays repair jobs assigned to engineers.

Displays repair jobs awaiting engineer assignment.

Uses the same fields as the previous table.

Displays repair job distribution by job state for each engineer.

  • Values: Distinct Count of Job Number

  • Legend: Job State

Filtered to repair jobs excluding Cancelled, Submitted, and Invoiced jobs.

Displays repair activity over time for each engineer.

  • Values: Distinct Count of Job Number

  • Axis: Agreed Visit Date (Year → Month)

Displays financial performance for completed engineer work.

Completed Job Revenue

Displays total revenue generated from completed jobs.

Fixed Price on Jobs

Displays the total fixed-price value.

Open Jobs Revenue

Displays expected revenue from Issued and Unissued jobs.

Invoiced

Displays the total invoiced amount.


Pivot Table – Revenue

Displays revenue breakdown by engineer.

All visualisations are filtered using Today's Agreed Visit Date, while the Engineer Status visualisations use Last Updated Time Stamp = Today.

This page provides the same visualisations and layout as Jobs TODAY, but all dashboard components are filtered using:

  • Agreed Visit Date = This Week

  • Last Updated Time Stamp = This Week

This allows users to review engineer workload for the current week.


Page 8 – Jobs This Month

This page mirrors the Jobs TODAY dashboard.

All visualisations are filtered using:

  • Agreed Visit Date = This Month

  • Last Updated Time Stamp = This Month

This page provides a monthly overview of engineer schedules and job progress.
