Purpose of the Report

The Engineer League dashboard is designed to measure and compare engineer performance based on job activity and completion statistics. It provides a league-style overview of engineer productivity, highlighting top and bottom performers, job status distribution, and first-time fix performance.

The dashboard is divided into two pages:

  • Engineer League – Presents an overall performance summary, league rankings, and engineer performance indicators.

  • Jobs by Engineer – Provides detailed comparisons of job statuses across engineers, allowing managers to monitor workload distribution and job progression.

Together, these pages help supervisors and operational managers monitor engineer productivity, recognise high performers, identify areas for improvement, and ensure work is distributed effectively across the engineering team.


How to Access the Dashboard

  1. From the main navigation menu, select the Self Service module.

  2. Open the All Standard Dashboards folder.

  3. Locate Engineer League.

  4. Click Preview to open the dashboard.

  5. Apply any desired filters. The dashboard will automatically refresh based on the selected filter values.


Dashboard Overview

The dashboard contains two pages:

Page 1 – Engineer League

Provides an overall league table of engineer performance, including job counts by status, engineer rankings, and first-time fix performance.

Page 2 – Jobs by Engineer

Displays detailed comparisons of job status across engineers, helping users analyse workloads, job progression, and operational performance.

Dashboard Filters & Descriptions

Engineer

  • Type: Drop-down selection

  • Description: Filters the dashboard for a selected engineer, allowing all visualisations to display statistics related to that individual engineer.


KPI Indicators – League Table

Jobs Issued

Displays the total number of jobs currently in the Issued state.

Applied Filter - Job State = Issued

Jobs Completed

Displays the total number of jobs that have been completed.

Applied Filter - Job State = Completed

Submitted

Displays the total number of jobs currently in the Submitted state.

Applied Filter - Job State = Submitted

Invoiced

Displays the total number of jobs that have been invoiced.

Applied Filter - Job State = Invoiced


KPI Kanban & Pivot Table – Top 3 Engineers

This section highlights the engineers who have completed the highest number of jobs.

KPI Kanban

How It Works

  • Values: Distinct Count of Job Numbers

  • Category: Completed Engineer

The KPI Kanban displays the Top 3 engineers ranked by completed jobs.

Sorting - Sorted by Completed Engineer in descending order.

Conditional Visualisation - Displays only the Top 3 engineers based on the distinct count of completed jobs.

Ranking calculated from the total number of completed jobs.

Completed Engineer

Engineer who completed the jobs.

KPI Kanban & Pivot Table – Bottom 3 Engineers

This section highlights engineers with the lowest number of completed jobs.

How It Works

  • Values: Distinct Count of Job Numbers

  • Category: Completed Engineer

Displays the Bottom 3 engineers based on completed job counts.

Sorting - Sorted by Completed Engineer in ascending order.

Conditional Visualisation - Displays only the Bottom 3 engineers based on completed jobs.

Pivot Table

Ranking calculated from completed job totals.

Completed Engineer

Engineer responsible for the completed jobs.

Stacked Column Chart – Job Status by Engineer

Displays the number of jobs handled by each engineer across different job states.

How It Works

  • Values: Distinct Count of Job Numbers

  • Category Axis: Issued Engineer

  • Legend: Job State

This chart provides a comparison of engineer workloads and job progression.

Applied Filters

  • Invoiced

Sort Order

Job states are displayed in the following order:

  • Invoiced

  • Completed

  • Cancelled

  • Unissued

  • Issued

  • Submitted


Pie Chart – First Time Fix by Engineer

Displays the first-time fix performance for each completed engineer.

How It Works

  • Values: First Time Fix (Sum), Distinct Count of Jobs

  • Trellis Columns: Completed Engineer

Each pie chart represents an individual engineer, allowing easy comparison of first-time fix performance across the engineering team.

Applied Filters

  • Job State = Completed

  • Job State = Invoiced


Jobs by Engineer

Dashboard Filters & Descriptions

Call Date Range

  • Type: Date range selector

  • Description: Filters jobs based on the original call logged date.

Engineer

  • Type: Drop-down selection

  • Description: Filters all charts for a selected engineer.


Column Chart – Jobs: Issued

Displays the number of currently issued jobs assigned to each engineer.

How It Works

  • Values: Distinct Count of Job Numbers

  • Category Axis: Issued Engineer

  • Legend: Job State

Sort Order

  • Invoiced

  • Completed
