The Engineers without Assigned Jobs Report lists engineers who do not currently have any active or assigned jobs within the selected branch and period.

This report helps users to:

  • Identify engineers available for new jobs.

  • Balance workload across engineers.

  • Monitor resource utilisation to ensure engineers are appropriately scheduled.


Getting There

To access the Engineers without Assigned Jobs report, follow these steps:

  • Open the Business Intelligence module.

  • Click on the Reports sub-module.

  • In the Reports window, navigate to the Scheduling category.

  • Click the Engineers without Assigned Jobs module to open the report.

  • Add the desired filters (explained below), then click the Apply button to generate the report.


Available Filters and Their Impact

Use the filters at the top of the report to refine which engineers are displayed.

  • Branch: Filters the report by branch or depot. The report uses the branch selected in the main Service Geeni interface. If All Branches is selected, you can choose one or more branches.

  • Period: Filters the report by the date of the engineer’s last completed job. Only engineers whose last completed job falls within the selected range, or who have never completed a job, are displayed.


Column Breakdown and Key Fields

Each row in the report represents an engineer who does not currently have an assigned job.

Column Name

Description

Engineer Name

Name of the engineer who is currently without an assigned job.

Date of Last Job Completed

The most recent date the engineer completed a job. If blank, the engineer has no recorded completed jobs.

Insight: Regularly reviewing this report ensures that no engineer remains idle for extended periods and helps to distribute work efficiently across the team.

The Engineers without Assigned Jobs report is a critical tool for managing resource availability and scheduling in Service Geeni.

Review this report regularly, daily or weekly, depending on operational needs, to ensure engineers are being assigned work efficiently and to maintain optimal scheduling across branches.
