Updated today

The Mean Time To Resolve (MTTR) Area Report provides insight into how quickly operational areas are restored after experiencing downtime or faults.

This report highlights performance extremes by displaying:

  • The top 100 best-performing areas (shortest time to resolve incidents).

  • The top 100 worst-performing areas (longest time to resolve incidents).

This report supports:

  • Evaluating operational efficiency and responsiveness.

  • Identifying areas where delays in resolution frequently occur.

  • Supporting maintenance planning and resource allocation.

  • Comparing resolution performance across branches or areas.

The report provides a clear, data-driven view of operational responsiveness, helping teams identify inefficiencies and improve recovery times.

Getting There

When you need to run the Repeated Failures report:

  • Open the Business Intelligence module.

  • Click Reports.

  • In the Reports window, navigate to the Equipment category.

  • Click the Mean Time To Resolve Area Report module to open the report.

  • Add the desired filters (explained below), then click the Apply button to generate the report.

Available Filters and Their Impact

Use the filters at the top of the report to refine the dataset:

  • Period: Filters the report by the analysis timeframe. Determines which downtime records are included in the MTTR calculation. Use longer periods for trend analysis and shorter periods for recent performance.

  • Branch: Filters the report by the branch (depot) where the area is located. Defaults to the branch selected in the main interface. Leave blank to include all branches

Tabs Overview

The report includes two tabs for easy comparison of performance extremes:

  • Best: Displays the top 100 areas with the shortest mean time to resolve, indicating efficient incident handling.

  • Worst: Displays the top 100 areas with the longest mean time to resolve, highlighting delays in recovery.

Column Breakdown and Key Fields

Column Name

Description

Rank

Indicates the area’s position within the Best or Worst list based on MTTR performance

Area

Name and description of the operational area

No. of Calls Stopped

Total number of recorded stoppage or downtime events within the selected period

Mean Time To Resolve: Hours

Average time (in hours) taken to restore operations, calculated as total downtime divided by the number of stoppages

Mean Time To Resolve: hh:mm:ss

Same value as above, displayed in time format for easier interpretation

Insight: A lower Mean Time To Resolve indicates faster recovery and better operational responsiveness. Conversely, a high MTTR signals areas where delays may require attention or process improvement.

The Mean Time To Resolve Area Report is a key tool for assessing and improving operational responsiveness.

Review this report regularly to monitor resolution trends, combine with reports such as Mean Time To Failure Area Report or Repeated Failures for a more complete view of operational performance
