The Equipment Availability and Performance report gives you a complete view of how your assets are performing over time. It helps you understand uptime, track downtime, and identify whether issues are caused by technical faults or operational factors, so you can take action quickly and improve reliability.

You can use this report to:

• Monitor equipment uptime and downtime.


• Identify recurring failures or stoppages.


• Compare operator-related and technical issues.


• Support smarter maintenance and resource planning


Getting There

You can access this report from the Reports section via the Business Intelligence module.

  • Go to the Business Intelligence menu.

  • Select the Reports sub-module.

  • When the Reports window opens, select the ‘Equipment’ category.

  • Click on the ‘Equipment Availability And Performance’ module to open the report.

  • Apply your desired filters and then click the ‘Apply’ button to generate the report.


Available Filters and Their Impact

Use the filters at the top of the report to refine your results.

Period: Defines the reporting timeframe, such as weekly, monthly, or annually. Only jobs and downtime recorded within this period are included. Use this to compare performance trends over time.

Useful for reviewing performance at a specific site or comparing across regions.

Pro tip: Combine Period and Branch to analyse performance within a specific timeframe and location for more targeted insights.


Tabs

The report contains several tabs that provide different analytical perspectives:

Summary

Provides a high-level view of availability KPIs, including uptime percentages and total downtime.

Detail

Shows performance at asset level, including MTBF, MTTR, and downtime causes.

Top 10 By Duration

Highlights the assets with the highest total downtime.

Top 10 By Stoppages

Shows assets with the most frequent stoppages.

Site Availability

Aggregates availability and downtime by site.


Column Field Definitions

Each column represents a key performance or maintenance indicator derived from downtime and job activity data:

Operating Time (Hrs)

Total scheduled operational hours within the selected period.

Total Downtime Recorded

Total downtime across all stoppages during the period.

Throughput / Moves Over the Period

Total number of operations or cycles completed.

Recorded Uptime % Over the Period

Percentage of uptime based on available operational time.

Is PM Recorded Against Downtime?

Indicates whether PM activity is linked to downtime.

Operation Caused Downtime (Hrs)

Downtime caused by operator-related issues.

Estimated Average Time to Recover an Error (Mins)

Average time taken to recover from operator errors.

No. of Operation Related Errors

Total number of operator-related incidents.

No. of Technical Failures in the Period

Number of breakdowns caused by technical faults.

No. of PM Visits in the Period

Number of preventive maintenance visits completed.

Duration of a Single PM Visit (Hrs)

Average duration of each PM visit.

Man Hours Required per PM Visit

Engineer labour hours per PM visit.

Recorded Downtime (Hrs)

Total downtime across all causes.

PM Downtime (Hrs)

Downtime caused by preventive maintenance.

Error Caused Downtime (Hrs)

Downtime caused by operator errors.

Technical Failure Downtime (Hrs)

Downtime caused by technical faults.

Uptime % Excluding PM

Uptime recalculated excluding planned maintenance.

Move Error Rate %

Ratio of errors to total operations.

MTBF (Hrs)

Mean time between failures — higher means better reliability.

MTTR (Hrs)

Mean time to repair — lower means faster recovery.

MTBM (Hrs)

Mean time between maintenance activities.

MTTRE (Mins)

Mean time to recover from operator errors.

MTBE (Hrs)

Mean time between operator errors.

The Equipment Availability and Performance report helps you understand how your assets are performing and where improvements can be made.

Recommendation: Review this report regularly to monitor trends, identify problem assets, and refine your maintenance strategy.
