Overview

The Clock Hours dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of equipment clock hour readings across your fleet. It enables users to monitor equipment usage, identify abnormal reading patterns, analyse historical clock hour trends, compare usage by make and model, and quickly identify equipment that is either under-utilised or heavily used.

To access the dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Self Service from the main navigation menu.

  2. Open the All Standard Dashboards folder.

  3. Locate Clock Hours.

  4. Click Preview to open the dashboard.

Users may apply any of the available dashboard filters. All visualisations automatically refresh based on the selected filter values.

Page 1 – Clock Hours

This page provides an overview of the latest equipment clock hour readings, average usage, and reading trends across all equipment.

Dashboard Filters

Filter

Description

Customer

Filters the dashboard by customer account name and account number.

Reading Date

Filters records based on the selected clock hour reading date.

Equipment

Filters the dashboard by equipment ID.

Equipment User

Filters results by the assigned equipment user.

Label Slicer – Equipment Status

Column - Equipment Status

Description

Allows users to filter dashboard data by equipment status. Only valid equipment statuses are displayed, as records with NULL equipment status are excluded.


Data Table – Clock Hours

  • Reading Date

  • Clock Hours

  • Previous Reading Date

Description

Displays the latest clock hour readings for each equipment, together with the previous recorded reading and the difference between the two readings, allowing users to monitor equipment usage over time.


Pivot Table – Average Clock Hours

Values - Average Clock Hours

Description

Displays the average recorded clock hours for each equipment, grouped by equipment details and assigned user.


Column Chart – Equipment Clock Hour Reading State

Values - Distinct Count of Equipment

Axis (Category) - Equipment User

Legend (Series) - Clock Hours Increase/Decrease

Description

Shows the number of equipment records for each equipment user, categorised by whether clock hour readings have increased or decreased since the previous reading.


Line Chart – Equipment by Date Reading Taken

Values - Distinct Count of Equipment

Axis (Category) - Reading Date (Year → Month)

Description

Displays the number of equipment readings recorded over time, helping users identify trends in reading activity.


Page 2 – Clock Hours - Exceptions

This page highlights abnormal clock hour readings, particularly equipment whose current clock hour reading is lower than its previous recorded value.

KPI Chart – Equipment with Decreased Clock Hours

Calculation - Distinct Count of Equipment

Filter - Reading Difference ≤ -1

Description

Displays the number of equipment records where the current clock hour reading is lower than the previous reading, helping identify potential data entry errors or abnormal readings.


Label Slicer – Equipment Status

Column - Equipment Status

Description

Allows users to filter dashboard data by equipment status.


Line Chart – Decreased Clock Hours – Readings

Values - Distinct Count of Equipment

Axis (Category) - Reading Date (Year → Month)

Filter - Reading Difference < 0

Description

Shows when decreased clock hour readings occurred over time.


Pie Chart – Equipment User Decreased

Values - Distinct Count of Equipment

Description

Displays the distribution of decreased clock hour readings by equipment user.

Description

Compares total clock hour readings against the average reading for each equipment, making it easier to identify unusually high or low usage.


Column Chart – Equipment Reading Gaps

Filter - Days Between Readings is not NULL or 0

Description

Displays equipment grouped by the number of days between recorded readings, helping identify long periods without updates.


Column Chart – Count of Equipment with Largest Reading Gaps

Values - Distinct Count of Equipment

Legend - Gap Between Reading (Days)

Filters - Days Between Readings is not NULL or 0

Conditional Visualisation - Top 10 ranked by reading gap

Description

Highlights the ten equipment records with the largest gaps between clock hour readings, allowing users to identify assets requiring closer monitoring.

This page analyses clock hour readings by equipment manufacturer and model.
