Purpose of the Report

The Revenue by Site dashboard is designed to provide insight into the financial performance of customer sites by analysing revenue generated from completed work. The dashboard enables users to compare revenue across different sites, customers, and job categories, helping identify high-performing locations and areas that contribute most to business revenue.

By combining revenue analysis, site-level comparisons, and detailed job information, the report supports financial monitoring, customer account reviews, and operational decision-making.


How to Access the Dashboard

  1. From the main navigation menu, select the Self Service module.

  2. Open the All Standard Dashboards folder.

  3. Locate Revenue by Site.

  4. Click Preview to open the dashboard.

  5. Apply any desired filters. The dashboard will automatically refresh based on the filters selected.


Dashboard Filters & Descriptions

The dashboard includes several filters that allow users to refine results and focus on specific sites, customers, and reporting periods.

Completed Date

  • Type: Date range selector

  • Default Value: Current Year

  • Description: Filters the report based on the date jobs were completed. By default, the dashboard displays data for the current year, but users can select a custom date range to analyse revenue over different periods.

Site

  • Type: Drop-down selection

  • Description: Filters the dashboard to display revenue information for a selected site. This is useful when reviewing the financial performance of a specific customer location.

Customer

  • Type: Drop-down selection

  • Description: Filters the dashboard by customer account, allowing users to analyse revenue generated across all sites associated with a selected customer.

Job Cost Code

  • Type: Multi-dimensional slicer

  • Description: Filters the dashboard by job cost code or charge code. This allows users to analyse revenue generated from specific categories of work, services, or billing types.


Column Chart – Completed Job Revenue by Site

The Completed Job Revenue by Site chart provides a visual comparison of revenue performance across customer sites.

How It Works

  • Groups data by Site Name.

  • Displays Charge, Cost, and Revenue values for each site.

  • Allows users to compare site profitability and revenue contribution.

  • Highlights sites generating the highest levels of revenue.

  • Sum of Revenue

Category Axis

  • Site Name

Applied Filters

The chart excludes jobs with the following statuses:

  • Cancelled

  • Issued

  • Unissued

As a result, the chart includes only jobs with the following states:

  • Submitted

  • Completed

  • Invoiced

Pivot Table – Revenue by Site

The pivot table provides a summarised view of revenue grouped by customer account and site.

Column Field Definitions (Data Table)

The detailed data table provides job-level revenue information supporting the dashboard analysis.

Column Name

Description

Site

Name of the site where the work was carried out.

Job No.

Unique identifier assigned to the job.

Rate

Rate type used for costing and charging the job.

Revenue

Revenue generated from the job based on applicable charging and costing calculations.


Data Analysis Features

The dashboard allows users to analyse revenue at multiple levels:

  • Customer level through the Customer filter.

  • Site level through the Site filter and chart grouping.

  • Job category level through the Job Cost Code filter.

  • Individual job level through the detailed data table.

This layered approach enables users to move from high-level revenue analysis down to the supporting job records.
