Purpose of the Report
The Invoice Analysis dashboard is designed to provide visibility into invoicing activity and revenue trends across customers, invoice categories, and reporting periods. By analysing invoice values over time, users can monitor sales performance, identify growth patterns, and review customer invoicing activity in greater detail.
The dashboard combines trend analysis, year-over-year comparisons, and detailed invoice information to support financial reporting, customer account reviews, and business performance monitoring.
How to Access the Dashboard
From the main navigation menu, select the Self Service module.
Open the All Standard Dashboards folder.
Locate Invoice Analysis.
Click Preview to open the dashboard.
Apply any desired filters. The dashboard will automatically refresh based on the filters selected.
Dashboard Filters & Descriptions
The dashboard includes several filters that allow users to focus on specific customers, invoice categories, and reporting periods.
Customer
Type: Drop-down selection
Description: Filters the dashboard to display invoice information for a selected customer. This allows users to analyse invoicing trends and revenue generated from specific customer accounts.
Invoice Category
Type: Drop-down selection
Description: Filters the dashboard by invoice category, enabling users to analyse invoice values associated with specific types of products, services, or billing classifications.
Invoice Date
Type: Date range selector
Default Value: Blank
Description: Allows users to define a custom reporting period based on invoice dates. All charts and tables update automatically to reflect invoices issued within the selected date range.
Column Chart – Growth
The Growth chart provides a historical view of invoice values over time, helping users identify trends in customer billing and revenue generation.
How It Works
Displays the total Invoice Value for each customer account over time.
Groups data first by Account Name and then by Invoice Date.
Invoice dates are displayed hierarchically by Year and Month.
Helps users analyse how invoice values have changed across different reporting periods.
