The Equipment Warranty report provides a comprehensive overview of all equipment covered under active or expired warranties. It allows service and operations teams to monitor warranty periods, track coverage based on time or operating hours, and identify equipment nearing warranty expiration.
This report is designed to support:
Proactive service planning for warranty-covered equipment.
Warranty claim management with suppliers.
Improved visibility of customer and supplier warranty obligations.
Reduction in unplanned maintenance costs by leveraging valid warranties.
Getting There
To access the Equipment Warranty Report in Service Geeni, follow these steps:
Select the Business Intelligence module from the main menu.
Choose the Reports sub-module.
In the Reports window, navigate to the Equipment category.
Click on the Equipment Warranty module to open the report.
Add the desired filters (explained below), then click the Apply button to generate the report.
Filters
Use the filters at the top of the report to focus on the data you need.
• Branch: Filters the report by one or more depots or branches. Limits results to equipment linked to those locations. Use this to review warranty coverage at a specific site or region.
• Customer Account: Filters by customer account. Displays only equipment linked to the selected customer. Useful for account reviews or warranty-related discussions.
• Site: Filters by customer site location. Restricts results to equipment installed at that site. Ideal when reviewing warranties for a specific operational location.
• Equip. ID: Filters for a specific equipment record. Use this when investigating warranty details for a single asset.
• Equipment Make: Filters by manufacturer. Helps you analyse warranties for specific brands or suppliers.
• Equipment Model: Filters by model. Useful when reviewing warranty trends across similar equipment.
• Type Enquiry: Filters by equipment type. Helps isolate specific asset categories, such as generators or HVAC units.
• Warranty Type: Controls which warranty types are shown. Options include Customer, Supplier, or Any. Use this to separate internal vs supplier warranty coverage.
• Sort By: Defines how results are ordered, by date or remaining hours.
Helps prioritise warranties nearing expiry.
• Only Include Expired Warranty: When enabled, it shows only expired warranties.
Use this to review lapsed coverage and identify potential risks.
Column Field Definitions
Each column in the report represents a key data point related to equipment warranty coverage. The values are calculated using the warranty details from the Equipment and Warranty tables.
Column Name | Description |
Branch | The depot or branch is linked to the equipment. |
Customer Account Name | The customer account associated with the equipment. |
Site Name | The site where the equipment is installed. |
Equipment ID | The unique identifier for the equipment. |
Make | The manufacturer of the equipment. |
Model | The model name or number. |
Type | The equipment category (e.g., Generator, HVAC). |
Warranty Type | Indicates whether the warranty is Customer or Supplier based. |
Warranty Name | The name of the warranty record. |
Start Date | The start date of the warranty period (time-based). |
Expiry Date | The end date of the warranty period (time-based). |
Days Left | The number of days remaining before expiry. Displays 0 if expired. |
Current Hours | The current recorded operating hours. |
Valid Till Hours | The maximum hours covered under the warranty. |
Hours Left | Remaining usage hours before expiry. Displays 0 once exceeded. |
The Equipment Warranty report helps you stay on top of warranty coverage and avoid unnecessary costs.
