The following fixes and improvements were included in version 6.85.62 (Web), released on 27 August 2026.
Enhancements (11)
Stock screens have a fresh new look
The stock screens have been given a fresh new look. Stock records now bring the most important details — SKU, description, stock type and current status — to the top of the record, with less frequently used actions tidied away behind a View More menu. Tables have been redesigned to fit on screen without side-scrolling, subtle colour highlights make key values easier to scan, and the audit log now uses visual cues to show what changed, when and by whom at a glance.
This is a visual refresh only — all existing stock functionality, workflows and permissions stay exactly the same.

View equipment transfer history from the equipment record
Checking where a piece of equipment had been transferred meant going to the Equipment Transfer screen and expanding and searching each line. A transfer history option is now available directly from the equipment record, so a user can open an item's full transfer history in one place, subject to the permissions.
Set a repair job charge code at service contract level
Service contracts can now hold their own repair job charge code, set at contract level. This lets back-office users agree a specific rate for any repair work on equipment covered by that contract — for example a discounted repair rate that differs from the standard charge code — so it applies to every piece of equipment on the contract without being set job by job.
Whenever a repair job is raised, the system checks whether the job's equipment sits on an active service contract. If it does and that contract has a repair job charge code configured, that charge code is applied to the job automatically, so repairs on contracted equipment are always priced in line with the agreed contract. If the contract has no repair job charge code set, or the equipment is not on a contract, the job follows the existing default charge code as before, and the charge code applied stays visible on the job.
Site location is now optional when transferring equipment
Users can complete an equipment transfer without selecting a destination site location. The site location is now optional, so a transfer can be recorded even when the final location is not yet known.
Move stock automatically when changing a default bin
When changing the default bin location for a stock item, users can choose to move the existing stock into the new default bin automatically as part of the same change, so there is no need to carry out a separate stock transfer afterwards.
Apply a contract discount at customer level
Users can hold an agreed contract discount directly against a customer, using a new Contract Discount percentage on the customer record. It applies automatically to the invoice value on every contract raised under that customer, so agreed rates flow straight through to contract billing without adjusting each contract.
The discount reduces only the invoice value; the prices of the individual services and tasks that make up the contract are left unchanged. Both the original service value and the discounted value are stored and shown on the contract invoice for full transparency, and the Contract Discount works independently of any labour or parts discounts, with the discounted value carried through to contract reporting.
Cross hire purchase orders now receipt period by period
Cross hire purchase orders capture the supplier cost independently of the customer's hire rate, along with a frequency and an optional end date, so the recurring nature of an open-ended hire is recorded directly on the purchase order line.
Goods can be received one period at a time at the correct per-period cost, matching the way suppliers invoice. Users can add further periods if the hire continues, or cancel remaining periods if it ends early, keeping costs accurate to the time the equipment is actually on hire.
Scheduled removal of equipment from Service Contracts.
Service Contracts now support a Removed from Contract date for individual equipment, allowing users to define when equipment should stop being active on a contract. The date can be set when adding equipment or added, edited, or cleared later, with validation to ensure it falls within the permitted contract dates and is not earlier than the equipment's Add to Contract date or in the past.
Equipment remains active through its final contract date and is automatically removed by the scheduled 11:00 PM UK process. Automatic removals are recorded in the Contract Audit Log. Future PPM jobs scheduled after the removal date are cancelled, no new PPM jobs are generated after removal, and previously completed PPM jobs retain their Completed status.
The Equipment & Services grid has also been updated to display the Removed from Contract date, with sorting and filtering support. Billing-related treatment following equipment removal is handled separately where applicable.
Urgent Status Display for Part Requests on Web App
Engineers can flag a part request as urgent from the mobile app, and that urgent status now appears on the web application. A new Urgent column on the Part Request grid lets stock controllers and branch users spot urgent requests at a glance and prioritise fulfilment accordingly.
The Urgent column can be shown or hidden using column options and is included when Part Request data is exported to Excel or PDF.
Mobile device registration now works with single sign-on
For customers using single sign-on, the support login web address includes an extra element that broke device registration by short code, so engineers could not register their devices. Registration now removes that element from the address before it is used, allowing devices to register successfully on single sign-on tenants.
Clearer photo uploads and tidier Equipment layout
Previously the photo section on Equipment records limited how many images you could add and showed a fixed “0 of 12” counter. Users can now upload as many photos as they need (up to 10 MB each), and the screen displays a cleaner, more consistent layout.
Fixes (19)
In-stock service kits no longer forced to raise a PO
When booking service stock to a job, kits could appear in red and force a purchase order or parts request even though every part was actually available in stock. Stock availability now correctly accounts for demand from other active jobs and ignores completed ones, so kits that are genuinely in stock can be booked straight to the job.
Contracts stay visible in the Review/Renew window
When a contract was renewed, its next renewal date could be wiped, so contracts set to review ahead of their expiry date disappeared from the Review/Renew window. Renewal dates are now kept when contract dates are updated, so contracts reappear for review at the right time, while contracts renewed without date changes correctly move to Active.
Documents can now be uploaded to sub-component equipment
Clicking the attachments icon on a sub-component within an equipment record produced an error and stopped user from uploading documents. Sub-components now support the full set of document actions, so user can upload, view and manage attachments just as you can on main equipment records.
Active customer accounts no longer wrongly deactivated by Sage sync
Some customers who were active in Sage were being marked as inactive in Service Geeni, and when they were reactivated manually the next Sage synchronisation reverted them to inactive again, often linked to duplicate account records. This has now been fixed. Customer account statuses now sync correctly from Sage, so active customers stay active in Service Geeni without needing repeated manual reactivation.
Part prices carry across when a quote becomes a job
When a quote was converted into a job, some parts lost their selling price and showed as £0.00 even though they were priced correctly on the original quote, affecting invoice accuracy. Selling prices are now carried across correctly from the quote to the job for all parts, including those linked to reserved stock.
Purchase invoices no longer show false success after a failed save
When a purchase invoice failed to save and you tried again, the system could show “Registered Successfully” while assigning no invoice number, leaving you unsure whether the invoice had saved. It now reports the failure clearly and only confirms success once the invoice has genuinely been registered with a valid number.
Sage 50 Job Details Truncation for Long Stock Journal Descriptions
Stock nominal journals with long Engineer Time Transaction descriptions could previously fail or lose important job details when sent to Sage 50 because the description exceeded the supported length. This has now been corrected so long descriptions are shortened appropriately while retaining key identifiers such as the job number and engineer number, allowing the journals to post successfully to Sage 50 without affecting other accounting integrations.
Future-dated equipment transfers now complete automatically
Equipment transfers scheduled for a future date could stay stuck on "Scheduled" once that date arrived, leaving the equipment showing in the wrong place. Scheduled transfers are now picked up automatically on their due date and updated to "Transferred", so equipment moves as planned without any manual intervention.
Correct Batch Handling During Stock Take
Stock takes involving batch-controlled items could previously calculate available stock without considering the batch, which could result in stock being issued from the wrong batch during reclassification. This has now been corrected so batch information is retained and used when processing stock take adjustments, ensuring issue and receipt transactions are created against the correct batch while maintaining the correct overall on-hand quantity.
Postcodes now pull through to purchase orders from Site ID
When a user selected a Site ID for a purchase order’s delivery address, the postcode was left off even though it was held against the site. Delivery addresses now include the postcode whether you choose a Site ID or a Branch/Van number.
Purchase Order Printing Restricted Until Approval
Purchase Orders awaiting approval could previously still be printed before the approval process was completed. This has now been corrected so the Print option is unavailable while a Purchase Order is awaiting approval and becomes available once the Purchase Order has been approved.
Improved Book Service Stock Loading Performance in Job Control
The Book Service Stock functionality in Scheduling → Job Control has been improved to load successfully without prolonged loading or the “Something went wrong” error, allowing users to view relevant stock information and proceed with actions including Issue Stock, Reserve Stock, Raise Part Request, Raise PO, and Cancel.
Sorting in Job Control now works correctly
When sorting the Job Control list, results came back in a jumbled order rather than the order the user had chosen. Sorting now works reliably across columns while keeping the default newest-job-first order, so lists appear exactly as expected
Goods receipts now fail cleanly if posting cannot complete
If a problem occurred while posting the accounting entries during goods receiving, the system could mistakenly treat the receipt as successful and then hit a follow-on error, leaving the transaction in an unreliable state. Goods receiving now recognises the original failure straight away and stops cleanly, so a receipt that cannot be posted fails safely rather than appearing to succeed.
Purchase Order template opens in the document designer again
Opening the Purchase Order template in the document designer produced an error, while all other templates opened normally, and this affected every tenant. The Purchase Order template now opens correctly, so user can view and edit your purchase order document layout again
Saved company filters restored on Equipment Enquiry
The Equipment Enquiry screen displayed "No Filters Available Currently" even when saved company filters existed, preventing users from filtering the equipment list. Saved company filters now load and apply correctly on the Equipment Enquiry screen, so users can filter equipment data as expected.
Cross Hire Purchase Orders now retain the selected PA Code.
The Cross Hire Purchase Order process has been corrected to ensure the PA Code entered against a Cross Hire PO line is retained after the Hire Contract is raised. Previously, the PA Code could be lost when the contract was processed, resulting in a blank PA Code on the generated Purchase Order and preventing Goods Receiving.
The selected PA Code is now retained on the Cross Hire line and carried through to the generated Purchase Order. This allows Goods Receiving to proceed through the standard process without incorrectly displaying the PA Code missing validation.
All accepted service reminders now confirmed correctl
When a service reminder listed several pieces of equipment and user accepted more than one, an acceptance was not always processed for equipment held on an earlier service schedule, so a confirmation email could be missed. Acceptances against older schedules are now handled correctly, so a confirmation is sent for every item you accept.
Recurring Cross Hire PO scheduling aligned with Equipment Start Date.
The recurring Cross Hire Purchase Order scheduling process has been corrected for equipment added after the Contract Start Date. Previously, when Will Be Paid Until Further Notice was selected, the First PO To Be Raised could be calculated from the Contract Start Date, resulting in Purchase Orders being scheduled before the equipment was actually on Cross Hire.
The First PO To Be Raised is now calculated from the individual Cross Hire Equipment Start Date and then follows the configured period schedule, frequency, and Send On day. This ensures recurring Purchase Orders are never scheduled before the applicable equipment begins its Cross Hire period.
