Release Notes – 13 August 2026

The following fixes and improvements were included in version 6.85.61 (Web), released on 13 August 2026.

Enhancements (10)

Warranty status is now displayed on Service Contracts.

Service Geeni now displays the **remaining warranty status** for equipment directly within the **Equipment & Services** section of Service Contracts. Depending on the equipment's warranty, users can see the remaining duration, remaining operating hours, combined warranty information, multiple warranties, expired warranties, or when no warranty is configured.

The **Raise Job** screen has also been updated to display warranty information consistently, including both duration and operating hours where applicable.

This provides clearer visibility of warranty status, helping users make informed service and contract decisions without needing to manually track warranty eligibility.

US address wording now consistent across portals, reports and documents

For customers using USA addresses, address fields now use the correct US terminology wherever addresses appear outside the main edit screens — “State” in place of “County” and “ZIP Code” in place of “Post Code”.

This release extends that wording to the remaining display areas: the customer portal (customer and site details), display-only and user profile address screens, and reports, documents and exports. As a result, US address wording is now consistent everywhere an address is shown. Addresses for all other countries keep their existing wording, so there is no change for non-USA records.

Direct Purchase Orders supported for existing Equipment Records.

The Purchase Order process has been enhanced to allow users to raise Purchase Orders directly against existing Equipment Records without requiring an associated Catalogue record. Users can now choose either a Catalogue or an Equipment ID when creating a purchase order line, simplifying purchasing workflows for existing assets such as customer-owned equipment, trade-ins, re-hires, and equipment transfers.

When a Purchase Order is raised against an existing Equipment Record, the cost price can be entered or updated directly on the PO line, and Goods Receiving completes without prompting users to create a new equipment record. Quantity is automatically managed as a single unit for equipment-based purchase lines, while the existing catalogue-based Purchase Order workflow remains unchanged, ensuring full backward compatibility.

New-look Equipment Record screen, the first of a wider redesign

We have begun a wider programme to refresh the design of screens across Service Geeni, giving them a cleaner and more consistent look and feel. The Equipment Record (Equipment Maintenance) screen is the first screen to move to the new design.

The refreshed screen keeps all the same information and functionality but presents it more clearly, so you can see an equipment record's maintenance status at a glance, prioritise upcoming and overdue servicing, and move between records more easily. Full details of the new Equipment Record screen are available here.

Report pop-ups now let you choose which field to search on

Report pop-ups now include a new option in the filter area to choose which field you want to search on, instead of searching across every column at once. You select the field to filter by — for example Geographic Area — enter the value you are looking for, and the results are filtered on just that field.

For example, A member of the north team can select the geographic area field, enter their area, and see only the records for that area — without unrelated rows appearing simply because the text also matches another column, such as an address like ‘Northfield Road’. The result is faster, more accurate filtering when working from reports.

New reporting fields added for hire and service contract e-signatures

Additional hire contract and service contract fields are now available in the report dictionary, supporting the e-signatures dashboard and related reporting.

Margin pie chart now shows cost and margin as a share of total revenue

The margin pie chart has been improved so the whole pie now represents the total deal revenue, split into its two parts: cost and margin. This makes it easy to see at a glance how much of a deal's revenue is profit and how much is cost, across both equipment and quotations.

For users without access to cost figures, the cost and margin split is shown as percentages, so they can still see how large the margin is as a share of revenue without seeing the underlying cost values.

Users with cost access continue to see the full figures.

Engineer shift details now available for reporting

Shift, shift start and end times, and team manager are now available in the report dictionary, so engineer shift information can be included in reports.

Service sequence reminder emails can now include service type and sequence name

The service sequence reminder email template now offers Service Sequence name and Service Type as available fields, so reminders can carry clearer detail for recipients.

New Service Call screen

The redesigned Service Call screen will be live for everyone. It gives Service Calls a cleaner, more modern layout that brings the key job information together on one screen and makes it quicker to view and work through a call.

Following the in-app banners shown over the past few weeks, this release completes the roll-out to all customers. You can read more about what has changed in this help article.

Fixes (21)

Quotes raised from a mobile job now appear in the main Quotation List

When an engineer created a quote from a job in the mobile app, the quote was sometimes saved against the customer's site but not against the customer account itself. As a result, the quote appeared under the job's Quotes tab (Job Details → Quotes) but did not show in the main Quotation List, so it could look as though it had gone missing.

Quotes raised from a mobile job are now saved against the correct customer account, so they appear both against the job and in the main Quotation List.

Invalid Transaction Post Error for Zero-Value Purchase Nominal Updates

An issue where **zero-value Purchase Invoices** generated an **"Invalid Transaction Post"** error during Sage posting. Zero-value transactions are now automatically skipped, marked as posted, and removed from the Purchase Nominal Update list without causing posting failures.

Contracts affected by duplicate cost code rates

Saving a cost code twice in quick succession could create duplicate rate rows, which then stopped some contracts from opening and showed an error. Duplicate rows are no longer created, so affected contracts open normally.

Selected Engineers Not Appearing Automatically in the Scheduler

An issue has been fixed where jobs raised with an engineer already selected could fail to autoschedule and were not displayed in the Scheduler/Diary.

Correct charge codes now appear when invoicing jobs inside an equipment deal

When invoicing a job inside an equipment deal, some charge codes were missing from the list and adding them could trigger a duplicate warning. The correct charge codes now show as expected, so jobs can be invoiced without workarounds.

Sales order invoices no longer duplicate kit items

Submitting pro-forma invoicing more than once before it finished could double a kit item and its value on the final invoice, even though the preview looked correct. Invoices now match the preview, with no duplicated lines.

'Contract already open' message no longer appears in error on iPads and iPhones

On iOS devices, a contract could stay locked after you saved or closed it, wrongly showing a 'contract already open' message and blocking further edits. Contracts now unlock correctly, so you can reopen and edit them straight away.

Improved Task Assignment for Multiple Engineers

An issue has been resolved where assigning different job tasks to different engineers from the **Edit Job** screen could result in incorrect engineer assignments after saving. The system now correctly retains task-specific engineer assignments, ensuring each task remains assigned to the selected engineer.

Mobile forms now display their content correctly

Some forms such as the Service Sheet opened as a blank shell on the mobile app even though content showed on the desktop, so engineers could not complete them. Forms now load their full content on mobile so engineers can fill them in and save them.

Switching engineers on Stock Replenishment no longer causes an error

On the Stock Replenishment screen, switching from one engineer to another on the Select Van Location screen could bring up an error and block the switch, particularly for tenants that filter engineers by geographic area. Engineers can now be switched without any error, so you can move between engineers' van stock as expected. There is no change to the way the screen is used.

Consolidated job invoice PDFs always match the recorded invoice totals

Reprinting or regenerating a Consolidated Job Invoice PDF could show different net, VAT and gross totals than the original invoice if the linked job's figures had changed since it was first raised. The PDF footer now always uses the totals recorded against the invoice itself, so reprints match the original figures every time.

For Sale equipment now appears when adding it to an Equipment Deal

Equipment set up as available for sale wasn't showing in the equipment selection list when adding it to an Equipment Deal or Deal Quotation, so it couldn't be added. This equipment now appears correctly in both places.

Purchase Order Selections Retained Across Multiple Pages

An issue has been resolved in **Purchase Invoice Posting** where selected purchase orders could be lost when navigating between pages during PO selection. The system now retains previously selected purchase orders across pagination, allowing users to select POs from multiple pages before creating an invoice.

Clearer label for the setting that hides customer details on mobile

On the mobile (PDA) Job Details screen, the setting that controls whether the customer details section is shown was easy to misread, so it was not always clear which way the toggle worked.

The setting, under Web → Engineers → Device Management → Config Profile, now has a clearer label (“Hide Customer Detail Section”) and a tooltip explaining exactly how it behaves: when it is enabled the customer details section is hidden on the mobile Job Details screen, and when it is disabled the section is shown. The behaviour itself is unchanged and the mobile app reflects the setting correctly — the wording simply makes it obvious which way round the toggle works.

Corrected Sage Posting for Negative Non-Chargeable Hours

Sales invoices containing non-chargeable hours could previously post incorrect values to Sage because negative transactions were treated as positive amounts, causing the Sage total to differ from the invoice shown in Service Geeni and its printout. This has now been corrected so negative non-chargeable hour transactions retain the correct value when posted to Sage, ensuring the posted totals remain consistent with the original invoice.

Resolved Engineer Default Bin Not Populating in Manual Stock Receipt

Fixed an issue where Manual Stock Receipt used the engineer’s parent depot when looking up the default bin, causing the **Bin No.** to remain blank for engineer locations. The system now correctly uses the engineer-specific bin mapping and auto-populates the configured default bin.

Iplicit sync no longer overwrites customer details with default values

When customer records were synced from Iplicit, an account could have its address, postcode and email overwritten with placeholder default values (such as a postcode of 012345) where the incoming Iplicit record had those fields empty. The sync now applies a default value only when the matching field in Service Geeni is itself empty, so existing customer details are no longer overwritten.

The sync also now recognises Accounts Receivable addresses from Iplicit as well as Accounts addresses, so the correct address is brought across for more customers.

Reminder Emails Exclude Skipped Services

Updated service reminder emails to exclude services that have been marked as Skipped. Reminder emails now include only active, actionable services, ensuring customers receive relevant reminders and can respond using the provided Accept/Reject links without confusion.

Misc items can again be added correctly to job quotes

On job quotes, adding a miscellaneous item shifted the grid columns and broke validation, making it very difficult to add misc items and miscalculating the selling price. The grid now stays aligned so misc items can be added and priced correctly.

Quotations input fields now align correctly for accurate data entry

Misaligned input boxes on the quotations screen made it hard to enter information in the right places. The fields now line up correctly, so quotations can be completed accurately.

Fixed incorrect branch routing for multi-branch Sage 50 integrations

For customers using the multi-branch Accounts Bridge integration, nominal journal postings could be sent to the wrong branch or company in Sage 50 because the journal referenced an internal depot value rather than the configured branch mapping. Journals now post to the correct branch with accurate values.
