The Invoice Yearly Comparison Report provides a visual overview of monthly invoice values across multiple years.

It helps finance and management teams to:

  • Compare invoicing trends year-over-year.

  • Identify seasonal fluctuations in revenue.

  • Monitor the overall growth or decline in invoicing.

  • Make informed decisions for financial planning and forecasting.

This report supports strategic analysis by highlighting how invoicing performance changes over time.


Getting There

To access the Invoice Yearly Comparison Report in Service Geeni, follow these steps:

  • Open the Business Intelligence module.

  • Click on the Reports sub-module.

  • In the Reports window, navigate to the Finance category.

  • Click the Invoice Yearly Comparison module to open the report.

  • Add the desired filters (explained below), then click the Apply button to generate the report.


Available Filters and Their Impact

Use the filters at the top of the report to refine the data displayed:

  • Branch: Filters the report based on the branch selected in the main Service Geeni interface.

Tip: Analyse revenue trends for a single branch or compare performance across multiple branches.

  • Period: Filters the report by the invoice creation date.

Tip: Review specific fiscal periods or compare annual performance.

  • Customer Account: Filters the report by customer account number.

Tip: Track yearly invoicing trends for individual customers.

  • Type: Filters the report by invoice category type (for example, Hire Contract, Service Contract, Sales Order).

Tip: Focus on specific revenue streams for targeted comparison.


Report Chart

The report is visualised as a line chart to show invoicing trends over time.

  • Value Displays the sum of invoice values.

  • Category: Represents the invoice month.

Insight: Use the chart to identify peaks and troughs in invoicing activity and compare performance across multiple years.
