The Open Jobs Report provides visibility of all open jobs, their associated tasks, assigned engineers, and related equipment.

This report enables service managers and operational teams to:

  • Monitor open jobs and task progress.

  • Identify overdue, high-priority, or unassigned work.

  • Track engineer workloads and job allocation.

  • Review jobs by customer, site, or equipment.

  • Improve response times and operational efficiency.

This report is essential for maintaining control of active workloads and ensuring service commitments are delivered on time.


How to Get There

To access the Open Jobs Report in Service Geeni, follow these steps:

  • Open the Business Intelligence module.

  • Select the KPI Viewer sub-module.

  • Locate the Open Jobs report module.

  • Click the report module to generate the report.

Optionally, click the gear icon in the lower-right corner of the report module to add or modify filters before generating the report.


Available Filters and Their Impact

Use the filters at the top of the report to refine which open jobs are displayed.

  • Branch: Filters jobs based on the selected branch. Only jobs associated with the selected branch are included.

  • Period: Filters jobs by their creation date. Only jobs created within the selected date range are displayed.

  • Job Type: Filters the report by job type. Useful when reviewing specific categories of work.

  • Caller: Filters jobs by the contact who reported the issue. Helps analyse activity from specific customer contacts.

  • Engineer: Filters jobs by assigned engineer. Useful for reviewing workloads and outstanding jobs for individual engineers.

  • Site: Filters jobs for selected customer sites. Allows site-specific workload analysis.

  • Equipment ID: Filters jobs linked to specific equipment records. Useful when investigating equipment history or recurring issues.

  • Equipment Make: Filters jobs by equipment manufacturer. Helps identify trends relating to specific brands.

  • Equipment Model: Filters jobs by equipment model. Useful for analysing issues across similar equipment.

  • Type Enquiry: Filters jobs by equipment type or category. Helps identify workload patterns across equipment groups.

Tip: Combining multiple filters can help focus on specific branches, engineers, customers, or equipment when reviewing open workloads.


Tabs and Charts

The report provides several views to help analyse open jobs from different perspectives.

View by Priority

Displays the number of open tasks grouped by priority level.

This view helps identify urgent work that may require immediate attention.


View by Type

Displays open tasks grouped by job type.

This view helps understand the distribution of work across different job categories.


View by Status and Priority

Displays open tasks grouped by status and priority.

This view helps identify where work is progressing and where delays may exist.


View in Detail

Displays detailed job, task, site, engineer, and equipment information.

This view is typically used when investigating specific jobs or exporting data for further analysis.

Column Breakdown

Column Name

Description

Job No.

Unique job identifier displayed as Job Number-Task Number.

Job Description

Description of the task.

Job Type

Category or classification of the job.

Job Status

Current status of the job.

Call Date

Date the job was created.

Caller

Contact who reported the issue.

Engineer Name

Assigned engineer or engineers.

Area

Parent area associated with the site.

Site Name

Customer site where the work is being carried out.

Site Address

Full site address.

Equipment ID

Internal equipment identifier.

Serial Number

Manufacturer serial number.

Description

Equipment description.

Make

Equipment manufacturer or brand.

Model

Equipment model.

Type

Equipment type or category.

Status

Current task status.

Priority

Priority assigned to the task. If no priority is assigned, "Priority Not Defined" is displayed.

Use this KPI to:

  • Monitor all open jobs and tasks from a single report.

  • Identify overdue, high-priority, and unassigned work.

  • Review engineer workloads and job allocation.

  • Analyse activity by customer, site, equipment, or job type.

  • Improve operational efficiency by ensuring active jobs are progressed and completed promptly.

Regularly reviewing this report helps maintain service performance, improve resource planning, and ensure customer commitments are met.
