Today’s Jobs Report – Business Intelligence Module

The Today's Jobs Report provides a real-time view of all service jobs scheduled for a selected date, based on the agreed visit date.

This report enables service coordinators, dispatchers, and managers to:

  • View all jobs planned for the day in one place.

  • Monitor engineer assignments and current engineer activity statuses.

  • Identify job locations, equipment details, and site information quickly.

  • Support daily scheduling, dispatch decisions, and operational visibility.

This report is particularly useful for daily planning meetings and live operational monitoring.


Getting There

To access the Today's Jobs Report in Service Geeni:

  • Open the Business Intelligence module.

  • Select the KPI Viewer sub-module.

  • Locate the Today's Jobs report.

  • Click the report module to generate the report.

Alternatively:

  • Click the gear icon in the lower-right corner of the report module to configure the required filters.


Available Filters and Their Impact

Use the filters at the top of the report to control which jobs are displayed.

  • Branch: Filters the report by the selected branch where the job is located. This filter automatically uses the branch selected in the main Service Geeni interface. Use this filter to focus on a single branch or depot for day-to-day scheduling.

  • Date: Filters the report by the agreed visit date of the job. Only jobs scheduled for the selected date are displayed. Set this to today's date for live operational tracking, or change it to plan upcoming workloads.

  • Job: Filters the report by selected job numbers. Use this filter to quickly locate specific jobs.

  • Area: Filters the report by the customer location area. Useful for geographic workload planning and route optimisation.

  • Engineer Status: Filters the report by the current activity or status of assigned engineers, as recorded through mobile activity updates. Use this filter to identify jobs with engineers in specific states, such as on-site or en route.

  • Equipment ID: Filters the report by the equipment ID associated with the job. Helps track jobs linked to specific assets.

  • Equipment Make: Filters the report by the equipment manufacturer.

  • Equipment Model: Filters the report by equipment model.

  • Type Enquiry: Filters the report by the equipment type or classification.


Column Breakdown and Key Fields

Each row in the report represents a job scheduled for the selected date.

Column Name

Description

Job No.

Unique identifier combining the job number and task number.

Call Date

Date the job was created in the system.

Job Description

Description of the task or issue to be addressed.

Engineer

Name of the engineer, or engineers, assigned to the job. Multiple engineers are displayed as a comma-separated list.

Area

Service area associated with the customer location.

Site Name

Name of the customer site where the job is scheduled.

Site Address

Full address of the customer site.

Engineer Status

Displays each engineer's most recent activity or status. Shows "Multiple Resources" when more than one engineer has a different status.

Equipment ID

Internal ID of the equipment associated with the job.

Description

Description of the equipment associated with the job.

Make

Manufacturer of the equipment.

Model

Model of the equipment.

Serial No.

Serial number of the equipment.

Type

Equipment type or classification.

Tip: The Engineer Status column provides near real-time visibility of engineer activity, helping coordinators quickly identify delays, scheduling conflicts, or jobs that may require attention.

The Today's Jobs Report is a critical operational tool for managing daily service activities.

By using this report, teams can:

  • Maintain full visibility of jobs scheduled for the day.

  • Monitor engineer assignments and live status updates.

  • Improve response times and coordination across service teams.

  • Support efficient daily planning and workload balancing.

Use this report at the start of each day and throughout the day to monitor progress, respond to changes, and ensure all scheduled jobs are completed efficiently and on time.
