So, what's new?

Managing equipment records is now faster, clearer and more consistent, with a refreshed layout that brings the information you use most to the forefront while keeping everything else easy to find.

Nothing about the way Equipment Records work has changed. The same information, actions and history are still available; they're simply organised in a cleaner, more intuitive interface.

What's Changing?

Simpler, Clearer Equipment Pages

The equipment record has been reorganised to make day-to-day tasks feel more natural.

The moment you open a record, the header shows the equipment status immediately, while the main actions sit together on the right-hand side where they're easy to find without adding clutter.

Related tasks are now grouped into dedicated tabs, so you can jump straight to Equipment History or the Audit Log instead of opening separate windows. Frequently used actions, like uploading documents or recording test results, are always close at hand.

In the Equipment Information section, a new equipment summary card brings the key details together in one place. Fixed information stays clear and protected, while commonly updated fields, such as the model, can still be changed without hunting through the page.

The window itself is easier to work with too. Improved spacing, clearer field grouping and visual icons make information easier to scan, while the new condition slider changes colour as the rating changes, giving you an instant visual indication of the equipment's condition.

On the right-hand side, image management has also been refreshed. You can drag and drop files straight onto the page or browse manually, preview multiple images before uploading and reorder them with ease.

Every change has been made to reduce clicks, improve readability and help you get to the information you need faster.

Clearer Equipment Information

Equipment specifications have been redesigned to make large amounts of information much easier to navigate.

Specifications are now displayed as clearly labelled chips, grouped by category, so you can quickly see what's been recorded without reading through long lists of values.

After

Each section has its own dedicated space, helping separate related information into manageable groups. If there's information you don't need right now, sections can be collapsed to keep the page clean and focused.

The result is a layout that's much easier to scan while still giving you access to the full specification whenever you need it.

A Cleaner View of History and Audit Logs

Equipment History and the Audit Log have moved out of individual pop-up windows and into dedicated tabs within the equipment record.

Both now use a modern table layout with built-in searching and filtering, making it much quicker to find specific events or narrow results by activity type.

Status indicators are colour coded directly within the table, helping important updates stand out without overwhelming the page.

Whether you're investigating changes, reviewing equipment movements or checking previous edits, the information is now easier to locate and interpret.

We've also improved how Equipment Records respond on smaller screens.

Adaptive Layout

The layout adapts more naturally to different screen sizes while keeping information and actions in familiar locations, making it easier to move between devices without having to relearn the interface.

Will This Change How I Use Equipment Records?

No.

These improvements are visual enhancements only. All existing equipment information, workflows, permissions and functionality remain exactly the same.

Think of it as giving Equipment Records a modern workspace; everything is still there, just organised in a way that's quicker and easier to use.
