The Equipment In Service report provides visibility of equipment service status by comparing scheduled service dates against the current date.
Use this report to identify equipment that is currently in service, highlight overdue equipment, and monitor upcoming service requirements across branches, customers, and sites.
This report helps teams to:

Getting There
To access the Equipment In Service report in Service Geeni:
Open the Business Intelligence module.
Select the KPI Viewer sub-module.
Locate and select the Equipment In Service report.
(Optional) Select the gear icon on the report tile to add or modify filters before generating the report.
Available Filters and Their Impact
The following filters can be used to refine the report data:
Period: Filters equipment based on the Next Service Due date.
Tip: Use shorter periods to review upcoming service activity or longer periods to analyse future service demand.
Branch: Filters the report by branch.
Tip: Useful when reviewing service compliance or workload within a specific branch.
Customer Account: Filters equipment by customer account.
Tip: Useful when reviewing service coverage for a specific customer.
Site: Filters equipment by customer site.
Tip: Useful when customers operate multiple locations and site-level service tracking is required.
Service Status Summary
The report includes a summary chart showing:
In Service: Equipment with a Next Service Due date in the future.
Out of Service / Overdue: Equipment with a Next Service Due date that has passed.
This provides a quick overview of service compliance across the selected filters and highlights equipment that may require attention.

Each row in the report represents a single piece of service equipment.

Branch | Name of the depot or branch where the equipment is located |
Customer Name | Customer account to which the equipment is assigned |
Site Name | Specific customer site or location |
In Service | Indicates if the equipment is considered in service (“Yes” if the next service date is in the future; “No” if overdue) |
Equipment ID | Unique identifier for the service equipment |
Make | Manufacturer or brand of the equipment |
Model | Model description of the equipment |
Type | Classification or category of the equipment |
Serial Number | Manufacturer’s unique serial number |
Year of Manufacture | Year the equipment was manufactured |
Last Serviced | Date the equipment was last serviced |
Next Service Due | Upcoming scheduled service date |
Insight: The In Service column is automatically calculated by comparing the Next Service Due date with the current date. Equipment with overdue service dates will be clearly flagged as No.
