The Planned Services report provides an overview of all service jobs scheduled, issued, or unissued for a selected period.

This report helps service managers and operational teams to:

  • Monitor the status of upcoming service jobs.

  • Track scheduled, issued, and unissued jobs to help ensure timely execution.

  • Allocate engineers and resources effectively.

  • Identify potential delays or workload bottlenecks before service dates are reached.


Getting There

To access the Planned Services Report in Service Geeni:

  • Open the Business Intelligence module.

  • Select the KPI Viewer sub-module.

  • Locate and select the Planned Services report.

  • (Optional) Select the gear icon on the report tile to add or modify filters before generating the report.


Available Filters and Their Impact

The following filters can be used to refine the report data:

  • Branch: Filters the report based on the selected branch. Useful for reviewing activity within a specific branch or across multiple branches.

  • Period: Filters jobs based on their service date. Useful for reviewing planned services within a specific timeframe.

  • Job: Filters the report by job number. Useful when reviewing a specific service job.

  • Open Job State: Filters jobs by their current status, including Unissued, Issued, or Scheduled.

  • Equip. ID / Equipment Make / Equipment Model / Type Enquiry: Filters jobs based on equipment details. Useful when reviewing planned services for specific equipment or equipment types.

  • Engineer: Filters the report by the assigned engineer. Useful for reviewing workload distribution and upcoming commitments.


Job Status Pie Chart

The report includes a pie chart that provides a visual summary of planned service jobs by status:

  • Unissued: Total number of unissued service jobs.

  • Issued: Total number of issued service jobs.

  • Scheduled: Total number of scheduled service jobs.

This chart provides a quick overview of job progression and highlights any jobs that may require attention before their planned service date.


Column Breakdown and Key Fields

Each row represents a planned service job:

Job No.

Unique job number and associated task number.

Job Description

Description of the service task or job.

State

Current job status: Unissued, Issued, or Scheduled.

Equipment ID

Unique equipment identifier.

Description

Equipment description.

Make

Equipment manufacturer.

Model

Equipment model.

Type

Equipment type or category.

Serial No.

Equipment serial number.

Call Date

Date the job was created.

Service Date

Planned service date.

Estimated Hours

Estimated time allocated to complete the job.

Engineer

Assigned engineer.

Service Type

Type of service being carried out.

Insight: Regularly monitoring planned services helps ensure jobs are issued and scheduled before their due dates. Reviewing engineer allocation and upcoming workload can help reduce delays, improve resource utilisation, and maintain service commitments.

The Planned Services Report is an important operational planning tool for managing upcoming service work.

Using this report allows teams to:

  • Track all planned service jobs and their current status.

  • Ensure jobs are issued and scheduled on time.

  • Review the engineer workload and resource allocation.

  • Identify potential scheduling issues before they impact service delivery.

Review this report regularly, particularly on a daily or weekly basis, to maintain visibility of upcoming service commitments and proactively manage service operations.
