UI Refresh: Engineers

Take a look at the new UI for the Engineers module

What's new?

We've given the engineer pages a big refresh, and they're now easier to use from top to bottom. You'll find a simpler pop-up for adding and editing engineers, consistent tabs across every screen, and all the key details about an engineer in one place. You can now edit information right on the page instead of through a pop-up, and there's a built-in audit log so you can see exactly what's changed.

Here's what's new:

Easier adding and editing

Adding or editing an engineer is now much simpler. The pop-up displays all data fields in clear sections- no more expanding and collapsing to find what you need, and no risk of missing a key detail.

Before:

Sub-sections group related fields into tidy categories, with the most important ones right at the top.

After:

Consistent tabs, clearer data

Every tab now follows the same consistent layout, so you always know where to look, whichever information you're viewing.

Before:

On the Cost & Revenue tab, we've stripped out distracting visuals to let the figures speak for themselves, and data now highlights when you hover, showing you exactly what you're about to edit.

After:

Everything about an engineer, in one place

The engineer detail page now puts identification front and centre: the header shows the engineer's number, name, status, branch, and team, so you can confirm who you're looking at instantly.

Before:

Action buttons sit in the top right of the screen, ready whenever you need them, and the consistent tab layout means the information you want is always where you expect it.

After:

Edit without leaving the page.

Editing an engineer's information now happens right on the page, using the same tabs you view it in, with no pop-up window.

Before:

That means more space to work in, a consistent layout whether you're viewing or editing, and a cleaner, easier experience all round.

After:

Audit log built into the engineer tabs

The audit log now sits alongside the other engineer tabs, so the full change history is one click away.

Before:

Changes are shown as highlighted chips, making it easy to spot what changed at a glance.

After:
