Within Service Geeni's Business Intelligence module, you'll find the Reports section, which gives you visibility across the information recorded throughout the system, helping you monitor day-to-day activity, identify outstanding work and review business performance.
Rather than trying to use every report available, start with the reports that support the areas of Service Geeni your business uses most frequently.
Getting There
To get there:
Navigate to Business Intelligence.
Then, select Reports.
The reports available to you depend on your Module and Access Rights. If you cannot see a report you expect to have access to, enable it via the User Settings menu.
Use Filters to Focus Your Reports
Most reports include filters that allow you to narrow the information displayed.
The filters available depend on the report.
Start with the broad information you need and then apply the appropriate filters to make the report more relevant, such as Site and Period for a Job report.
Report Types
Reports are grouped according to the different areas of Service Geeni.
For businesses using the core service workflow, some of the most useful areas to become familiar with are:
Records Reports
These reports provide information held against your core records, including:
Service Contracts
Contracts Due for Renewal
Quotations
Job Quotations
Customer & Prospects Contacts
These can help you review your customer and contract information and identify areas that may require action.
Equipment Reports
Equipment reports provide visibility of the equipment you manage.
For example, you can identify:
Equipment with outstanding service contracts
Equipment with no service contract
Equipment warranty information
Root cause information
Mean Time to Failure
Mean Time to Resolve
These reports become particularly useful as your equipment history builds within Service Geeni.
Stock Reports
If you use Service Geeni to manage stock, reports are available for areas including:
Stock valuation
Stock receipts and issues
Stock history
Slow-moving stock
Stock replenishment
Stock by location
Stock takes
Outstanding purchase orders
These reports help you understand where stock is, how it is moving and where further action may be required.
Scheduling Reports
Scheduling reports provide visibility of your jobs, engineers and upcoming service activity.
Useful reports include:
Current Jobs
Jobs
Oldest Ten Open Jobs
Partially Completed Jobs
Services within a Date Range
Response Times
Engineers without Assigned Jobs
For example, Current Jobs can be filtered by details including period, job, site, job state, job status, engineer and job type, making it useful for reviewing your current workload.
Finance Reports
Finance reports allow you to review financial information generated through Service Geeni.
Available reports include:
Branch Invoicing
Spend Summary
Invoicing to Date
Invoice Yearly Comparison
Revenue Cost Analysis
The Spend Summary, for example, brings together spending information from jobs, contracts, stock, labour and travel, equipment and sales orders.
