Let's take a look!
We're excited to announce a complete redesign of the Service Geeni Mobile app: a fresh look, a smarter layout and a faster way to get through your day in the field.
Bringing mobile in line with the redesigned Service Geeni web platform, the new experience gives engineers and office staff the same modern, consistent interface wherever they're working.
This isn't just a visual refresh. Every screen has been redesigned around three simple goals: fewer clicks, less clutter, and information exactly where you'd expect to find it.
The result is an app that gets out of your way, so you can focus on the job in front of you instead of the screen in your hand.
A Cleaner Look and Feel
Learn about the visual refresh!
The app now follows Service Geeni's updated brand guidelines, a new typeface (Circular) and a refreshed colour palette.
But this update goes further than aesthetics. Every screen has been redesigned to make information easier to scan. Cards, colour and icons now help important information stand out, replacing long blocks of text with layouts that are quicker to read at a glance.
Key Improvements:
Brand-aligned colours that are easier on the eyes and reduce screen fatigue over a full shift.
Card-based layouts replace long stacked text fields, so information is grouped logically instead of read top to bottom.
Your Day, at a Glance: The New Job List
Learn about the new Job List!
The Jobs screen, your default landing page, has been redesigned to answer one question the moment you open the app: What do I need to do next?
Before: a job list buried under multiple dropdown filters (Job Type, Job Status), with each job card showing a long stack of raw fields: Site Name, Post Code, Customer, Site Phone Number, Target, Agreed, Scheduled, Reason for Call, all in plain, undifferentiated text.
After: a KPI bar at the top instantly shows how your day is shaping up: jobs Pending Today, Awaiting Signature, and In Progress, so you know where to focus before you even open a job. Job cards are simplified to the essentials, colour-coded by charge code, and automatically flagged if a job is high priority.
Key Improvements
One less click to act: Accept and Reject sit directly on the card; no need to open the job first.
One-tap actions: call the site, map the route, start travelling, or start the job, all from the same card.
Priority at a glance: colour coding and automatic flags mean urgent jobs stand out without you having to read every line.
Less scrolling, more doing: only the details that matter for deciding your next move are shown up front.
Filtering, Without the Clutter
Learn about the new Filter experience!
Filters used to live permanently on the Jobs screen, taking up valuable screen space whether you needed them or not, and pushing your actual job list further down the page.
Now, tapping Filter opens a dedicated screen: search by job or equipment, filter by job/status type, and sort by priority, job number, or date, all in one focused place.
The results button updates live to show exactly how many jobs match before you commit (e.g. "View 16 Results"), so you're never guessing.
Key Improvements
Screen space given back: filters are tucked away until you ask for them, leaving more room for your job list.
Confidence before committing: live result counts mean no surprises after you tap through.
Always know your view: applied filters appear as removable chips that stay pinned to the top as you scroll, so you're never left wondering why the list looks the way it does.
Equipment Actions, Out of the Way Until You Need Them
Learn about the new Equipment Actions menu!
On the old Equipment Details screen, every action, Change Equipment, View Documents, Job History, Edit Details, Add New Equipment, and more, sat as an icon grid mixed directly into the scrolling page, competing for space with the equipment data itself.
In the new app, Equipment Details collapses into its own clean section; every action now lives inside a dedicated Equipment Actions menu, opening only when you need it and staying out of the way when you don't.
Key Improvements
A decluttered equipment screen: data and actions no longer fight for the same space.
Everything still one tap away: nothing is buried; it's simply organised.
Faster scanning: equipment details are easier to read without a wall of icons underneath them.
Finishing a Job: More Structure, Less Guesswork
Learn about the new Work Done tab!
The old "Complete" screen was a simple stack of buttons (Awaiting Signature / Complete Task / Complete and Raise New Task), with minimal detail captured beyond First Time Fix and Equipment Hours.
The new Work Done tab captures a fuller, more useful picture before a job closes: Equipment Hours, a required Root Cause selection, and clear Yes/No/Not Set fields for First Time Fix and whether the equipment is safe to use, plus the option to add billable time.
Key Improvements
Better data, first time: structured fields mean the office gets what it needs without chasing engineers afterwards.
Faster job closure: everything you need to finish a job lives on one tab, in a logical order.
Fewer follow-up calls: capturing root cause and safety information up front reduces back-and-forth later.
Parts, Labour and Completing the Job, Now All in One Place
Learn about the consolidated Work Done tab.
Previously, Parts, Labour and Complete each lived on separate tabs, meaning engineers had to move backwards and forwards while closing a job.
Now, everything needed to finish a task lives together inside the Work Done tab. Parts, labour, equipment details and work done notes all appear in one place, allowing the entire close-out process to happen without leaving the screen.
Parts booked to the job are summarised at a glance, labour is captured automatically from the job stopwatch, and the latest Work Done Note is visible inline. Completion actions remain at the bottom of the page and only become available once all required information has been entered, helping prevent incomplete jobs from being closed.
Key Improvements
Three tabs become one: Parts, Labour, and Complete are no longer separate destinations; everything needed to close a job lives on the Work Done tab.
Nothing forgotten: Completion buttons only activate once required fields are filled, preventing incomplete jobs from being marked done.
Full visibility without extra taps: Parts booked, labour logged, and the latest note are all visible on the same screen you're already working from.
The Main Menu, Reorganised
Learn about the new Main Menu!
Previously, the hamburger menu was a single long list, System, Holiday/Sick Leave, Raise New Call, Quote Request, Job Request, Message, Enquiry, Day Summary, and more - all flattened together with no grouping.
The new menu slides in from the right and groups related actions logically, with expandable sections for System, My Details, and More Options.
Key Improvements
Find things faster: related actions are grouped instead of scattered down one long list.
Consistent, predictable placement: your profile and app version sit at the top; Finish the Day is always pinned to the bottom.
Less scrolling to end your shift: no more hunting through a long list when you're ready to log off.
Multi-Task Jobs, Simplified
Learn about the new task list!
Jobs with multiple tasks used to show every task as a dense card packed with fields, Equipment ID, Location, Make, Model, Serial No, Type, TCC counts, and more, all visible at once, whether or not you needed them right then.
Now, each task shows just what you need up front: job type, equipment, estimated hours, and form completion counts, with a search bar and barcode scanner built directly into the task list to quickly find or confirm equipment.
Key Improvements
Only what's relevant, up front: task cards show a clean summary rather than every field at once.
Faster equipment lookup: search and barcode scanning are built into the list itself, no extra screens.
Clearer next action: Travelling to Job and Start the Task are now dedicated, unmissable buttons at the top of the screen.
A Smarter Diary View
Learn about the new Diary!
The Diary previously showed a single day as a long, mostly-empty hourly grid, with navigation buried under a Day/Week toggle and a separate calendar icon.
The new Diary leads with a week-at-a-glance date strip, so jumping between days is instant- no extra taps to open a calendar picker. The hourly grid now includes a live current-time line, so you always know exactly where you are in the day.
Key Improvements
Instant date-jumping: the week strip puts the next 7 days one tap away.
Always oriented: the live timeline means you never lose track of where "now" sits against your schedule.
Less setup, more scheduling: fewer taps to get to the view you actually want.
