Enhancements (2):

Mobile Update

A New version of the Mobile App has been released, release notes for this can be found here: Mobile Release Notes

Generic Nominal Codes and SA/PA Fields Added for Equipment

This enhancement introduces a consistent, finance‑friendly nominal structure for equipment, aligned with stock, and adds explicit SA/PA coding for equipment records. Key changes include:

SA/PA fields on equipment

  • Equipment records now display editable SA Code and PA Code fields, similar to stock records.

  • SA/PA codes can be selected from existing codes or set up in line with current SA/PA configuration.

  • The SA Code on equipment is carried over automatically from the catalogue item when the equipment record is created, ensuring a consistent default.

System defaults and configuration

  • A SA Code field has been added to catalogue defaults, allowing a standard SA code to be defined at catalogue level.

  • Equipment settings now include SA and PA code fields, giving administrators control over default analysis codes for equipment.

Consistent nominal code naming
Nominal code labels have been standardised to use clearer, generic names across UI, reports and exports:

  • “Stock A/c” is now shown as “Control Account”.

  • “Stock Adjustments A/c” is now shown as “Adjustment Account”.

  • “Cost of Sales” and “Work in Progress” retain their existing names.

These names are used consistently for both stock and equipment so that finance users see the same terminology regardless of inventory type.

Posting behaviour and auditability

Transactions for both stock and equipment continue to post to the correct nominal accounts (Control Account, Cost of Sales, Work in Progress, Adjustment Account) based on transaction type and the selected SA/PA codes. Historical and new transactions are presented using the updated nominal names, improving clarity without losing reporting accuracy.

Safety check when changing SA/PA codes on equipment

Editing SA or PA codes on an existing equipment record can have downstream accounting implications if the codes differ from the catalogue.

A confirmation warning is now displayed when SA or PA codes are changed on equipment, explaining that changes may affect accounting and requiring the user to confirm before saving.

Overall, this work brings equipment into line with stock from a financial configuration perspective, provides clearer nominal code naming across the system, and strengthens control over how equipment related postings are analysed and reported.

Job Enquiry screen now shows a wider Reason for Call for easier review

The Job Enquiry screen has been updated so the Reason for Call column is significantly wider, making it easier to read the full details of each job without opening individual records. The column widths have been adjusted so Reason for Call now occupies a larger portion of the screen, while the Call Date column has been optimised with word wrapping to keep the layout clear and readable. This provides a quicker overview of why jobs have been raised and supports faster decision-making when reviewing jobs in bulk.

Fixes (13):

Pending parts request purchase orders now include all selected parts

An issue was identified where creating a purchase order from a pending parts request did not always include every selected part, leaving some items behind on the original request. This has been resolved so all selected parts on a pending parts request are now transferred correctly to the purchase order.

Deleting manual stock postings no longer removes SKU records

An issue was found where deleting a line from the Manual Stock Posting screen could remove the underlying SKU record instead of only removing the posting line. This behaviour has been corrected so deleting a manual stock posting now affects only the posting line and no longer deletes the associated SKU record.

Purchase orders with a high number of goods receipt lines now open reliably

An issue was identified where opening purchase orders which contained a large number of goods receipt lines, caused the screen to freeze or crash. The handling of large purchase orders has been improved so orders with many receipt lines can now be opened and reviewed reliably.

Deal value now updates immediately after adding trade-in equipment

An issue was identified in Equipment Deal Records where the deal value did not update immediately after adding trade-in equipment and only refreshed after reloading the page. This has been resolved so the deal value is now recalculated and displayed straight away when trade-in equipment is added.

Duplicate job entries in Equipment Deal jobs tab have been removed

A display issue in the Equipment Deal Jobs tab caused some jobs raised from a Proposed Job to appear duplicated, even though only a single job existed in Job Control. This has now been fixed. When a job is raised from a Proposed Job, the Equipment Deal Jobs tab will correctly show only one job entry.

Mobile App Equipment Search Now Returns the Expected Records

On the mobile app, equipment record searches were sometimes returning no results even when matching equipment existed, making it harder for engineers to find the right records on site. The equipment search behaviour on mobile has been corrected so that valid equipment records are now returned consistently when users search from the app.

Job status changes now prevent jobs being re-submitted after invoicing

A workflow issue allowed jobs to be opened in multiple tabs and re-submitted after they had already been invoiced, creating mismatches between job and invoice status. Status handling has been updated so jobs cannot be re-submitted or reset once invoicing is complete, keeping job and invoice records in line with each other.

Editing Standard Service Items in Equipment Model now works as expected

An issue was identified where an error message appeared when editing the Standard Service Items list in the Equipment Model screen, preventing changes from being made. This has been resolved, and the Standard Service Items list can now be opened and edited as expected.

Invoice creation now checks for required nominal codes to prevent missing transactions

Invoices could previously be created without all required nominal codes, which led to missing sales transactions and issues with revenue recognition in connected finance systems. Validation has been strengthened so invoices cannot be created unless all necessary nominal codes are present, helping to ensure transactions are processed and reported correctly.

Adding sub‑component equipment from Equipment Detail now works without error

On the Equipment Detail page, attempting to add a sub‑component equipment from the Sub component Equipment tab resulted in an object reference error and prevented the sub‑component from being added. This issue has been resolved so the Add Sub component Equipment screen now opens correctly and sub‑component equipment can be added without error.

Selected engineers on jobs now display correctly in Job Control

When an engineer was selected for a task in the Multiple Task section of Job Control and the selection was confirmed, the engineer was not shown in the tasks Engineer(s) field or in the Engineers on Job field. This display issue has been fixed, so selected engineers are now shown correctly at both task and job level after confirmation.

Equipment Record page now loads correctly in “All branches” mode

An issue was identified where the Equipment Record page failed to load and showed an error when the branch filter was set to “All branches”. This has been resolved so the page now loads correctly and equipment information is available as expected in this mode.

Business Central postings now show correct screens, fields and amounts

Several issues affecting postings from Service Geeni to Business Central have been resolved. Posted purchase credits and sales credits now appear in their correct Posted Purchase Credit and Posted Sales Credit screens instead of invoice screens. Custom PO Number, Job Number and Equipment Number fields are now carried through correctly on posted journal entries. In addition, the amounts recorded in Business Central now match the originating journal values from Service Geeni.
