We’re excited to introduce a new Beta feature that makes it even easier for engineers to register and log in on the mobile app.
Under the Beta tab, engineers can scan a QR code or enter a Short Code. Back-office teams can generate these codes for them. It’s quick, simple, and gets your engineers logged in without any delays.
When an engineer tries to log in, they will now see this screen:
Don't worry, passwords still work!
Generate a Code
To generate a code:
Head to the Engineers module via the Settings cog.
Select Devices for an engineer via the Action Tray.
This opens the Register Device window.
Enter a name for the device under Friendly Name.
You can now share the QR code or Short Code with the engineer.
This code is active for 30 minutes.
Logging in with a Code
As an engineer, the back office staff will share either a QR code or a Short Code.
At the login screen, select SHORT CODE.
Enter the code and click CONNECT.
If the code is correct, you'll log in successfully.
You have successfully registered your device!
