Let's get started!

This update introduces an improved Raise Equipment Job screen that gives you a clearer view of equipment details, notes, warranty information, and task creation options in one place.

The updated layout helps you quickly access key information, create tasks more efficiently, and ensure the correct engineer is assigned.

Getting There

You can access the Job screen in the same way as before:

  • Open the Scheduling module.

  • Select Service Call.

  • Click Raise site job.

Updates

Screen Structure and UI Changes

The job screen layout has been updated to display essential equipment and job information in a clearer format.

  • An icon is displayed above the Equipment field to show parent–child equipment relationships.

  • If the equipment is set to not safe to use, the value displays as No in red. If it is set to safe to use, the value displays as Yes in green. If no value is set, the field is not shown.

  • Clicking the parent–child icon opens a pop-up showing the full equipment hierarchy, with the currently selected equipment highlighted.

  • The visibility of the Target Date and Time field depends on SLA and priority. If there is no target date and time for the job, the field is not shown.

The previously separate agreed date and time fields are now combined into a single Agreed Date and Time field. The same applies to Target Date and Time.

  • After adding a new task

  • When you click Edit on the Equipment field, a pop-up opens showing all equipment linked to the site.

  • Each item is displayed as a hyperlink; clicking it will take you to the Equipment Details page.

Additionally, the following service information is displayed on the main screen:

  • Equipment Service- equip/site service + service level + contract period

  • Next Service Due

  • Last Service Due

If the equipment has no service detail, this section won't appear.

Site and Contact Details

  • The Site ID field has been replaced with Site Name.

  • Clicking the Site Address field opens a text pop-up where you can view and edit the job address.

The following fields are grouped into a collapsible Contact section:

  • Postcode

  • Branch

  • Email

  • Phone Number

  • Proposed Service Branch

The Contact section is closed by default.

  • If you open the Contact section and then click another field, such as description or date and time, the section will automatically collapse.

Notes

A Notes pop-up is available, showing all types in one place:

  • Invoicing notes

  • Work done notes

  • Private notes

Warranty Information

The Warranty Information section can be expanded to display all warranties linked to the equipment.

Each warranty includes:

  • Warranty Name

  • Warranty Type

  • Warranty Period or Clock Hours

If only one warranty exists, it is displayed without a dropdown.

If no warranty information is found on the equipment, the warranty section won't be displayed.

Add Task

Below the Contact section, you have two options:

  • Add New Site Task

  • Add New Equipment Task

  • When you add a new equipment task, you can select a different piece of equipment linked to the selected site.

  • When you confirm the addition of a second task, two tabs are created: Task 1 and Task 2. Task-related fields are moved into the relevant tabs.

You will land on Task 2 by default.

  • After Task 2 is added, the Site Name from the job level becomes fixed and cannot be changed.

  • All equipment information for Task 1 is retained in the first tab.

  • Each task displays its own set of fields.

  • Task 1 cannot be deleted.

  • For additional tasks, a three-dot menu is available. Selecting this opens the option to delete the task.

  • If a task is removed, the layout returns to the standard job screen without tabs.

When a new task is added, visibility prioritises the most recent tasks. Tasks are hidden from Task 2 onward. When you have numerous tasks, a View More Tasks option appears; clicking this shows additional tasks based on the available space.

The View Less Tasks option allows you to collapse the list again.

Charge Code Behaviour

When working with multiple tasks, the charge code on Task 1 is initially inherited from the main job.

  • For example, if you create a job with Charge Code 1 and then add a second task, the screen will switch to a tabbed layout. Task 1 will automatically use Charge Code 1.

  • If you then update the charge code on Task 1 to Charge Code 2, this change applies while multiple tasks are active.

  • If the additional task is later removed, the screen returns to a single job view. At this point, the system realigns Task 1 with the charge code set at the job level, and the charge code will revert to Charge Code 1.

A banner is displayed to confirm this update:

“The charge code for Task 1 has now been aligned with the job charge code”

The banner will automatically disappear after 5 seconds.
